During the October 2022 meeting of the American Dental Association, three UofL School of Dentistry faculty members were selected for prestigious fellowships in the International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists

Fellowship in the International College of Dentists is extended by invitation only. A nominated dentist must pass a rigorous, peer-review process leading to the recognition of the individual’s “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.”

Fellowship in the American College of Dentists is also by invitation. Fellows are selected based on their exceptional contributions to organized dentistry, oral health care, dental research, dental education, the profession and society. Approximately 3.5% of dentists are Fellows of the American College of Dentists.
