The University of Louisville School of Dentistry Office of Research & Enterprise coordinates all research that is being carried out at ULSD and sponsors several programs that facilitate student participation in research.
Currently, the Department of Oral Immunology & Infectious Diseases (OIID) is the primary basic science research group in the School of Dentistry. In addition, several other departments in the school are involved in clinical research.

The Division of Radiology & Imaging Sciences is a hub of digital innovation and diagnostic excellence within the UofL School of Dentistry. The division spearheads the School of Dentistry's initiatives in Digital Dentistry and 3D Medical Modeling, providing critical support for complex treatment planning, craniofacial reconstruction, and implantology through advanced visualization techniques.
