University of Louisville School of Dentistry celebrates top-ranked scholars in oral health research

We are delighted to announce and celebrate that two Highly Ranked Scholars™ for lifetime achievements are from University of Louisville School Dentistry, Department of Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Jan Potempa, a professor, is ranked number 1 according to https://scholargps.com/scholars/11969268596731/jan-potempa. Dr. Richard J. Lamont, the Delta Dental Endowed Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases, is ranked number 2 according to https://scholargps.com/scholars/31474153078161/richard-j-lamont in Porphyromonas gingivalis research. Both have also achieved global recognition and ranking among the top 2% most-cited researchers worldwide.
Faculty, staff, students, and postdoctoral fellows from the UofL School of Dentistry Department of Oral Immunology & Infectious Diseases are involved in cross-disciplinary projects to dissect the molecular and cellular basis of the interactions between oral bacteria and their host.
