The University of Louisville School of Dentistry is proud to announce the expansion of its digital dentistry and 3D printing lab. The expanded lab more than doubles the original facility’s size and capacity — increasing the footprint from 565 square feet to 1,268 square feet — and creates a comprehensive, purpose-built digital dentistry environment designed to support advanced technology and growing student demand.

The renovated suites now include dedicated areas for digital design, milling, 3D printing, and laboratory technician workflow. Significant upgrades to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and life safety systems ensure the infrastructure supports high-performance fabrication equipment and meets modern building standards.

This expansion strengthens the School’s ability to train students in digital workflows, additive manufacturing, and in-house production of dental prosthetics and appliances — further positioning the University of Louisville School of Dentistry as a leader in innovation and technology-driven dental education.

The project was designed by Kremer Studio Architects in collaboration with CMTA, Inc. and School of Dentistry leadership.
