Congratulations to OIID researcher, Dr. Shirin Ghods, for obtaining funding to support her research.

Department of Oral Immunology & Infectious Diseases Assistant Professor Dr. Shirin Ghods has been awarded an R03 grant from NIH/NIDCR. This grant will fund her study aimed at elucidating the biological significance of cobalamin (vitamin B12) in the pathogenesis of Porphyromonas gingivalis.

Faculty, staff, students, and postdoctoral fellows from the UofL School of Dentistry Department of Oral Immunology & Infectious Diseases are involved in cross-disciplinary projects to dissect the molecular and cellular basis of the interactions between oral bacteria and their host.
