Craniomaxillofacial teaching award named in honor of Dr. Brian Alpert

AO North America, an organization that promotes excellence in trauma and musculoskeletal surgery, has created a new award named in honor of one of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry’s most legendary faculty members: the late Dr. Brian Alpert. 

Starting with this year’s One AO meeting, the "Brian Alpert AO CMF NA Educator of the Year Award” will be presented to a craniomaxillofacial surgeon nominated and selected by peers based on their achievements as an educator and contributions to AO NA and their discipline. ULSD thanks AO North America for helping to carry on the legacy of Dr. Alpert, who taught generations of future dentists and oral surgeons at our school.
